(Radio Iowa) - The Iowa House, without debate, approved a bill that requires school districts to adopt policies that at least restrict students from using their cell phones during class time.
Schools would have to adopt the ban in time for the next school year. Governor Kim Reynolds proposed the bill and in a statement, says she’s looking forward to signing it into law. She says digital distractions in the classroom are at an all-time high, and students deserve to learn free from the disruption of personal devices.
