
KANSAS CITY —Investigators are working to determine the cause an fire at an apartment building in Kansas City.
Just after 10:30a.m. Friday, crews responded to the apartment fire at 11828 Winchester Avenue, according to Battalion Chief Michael Hopkins.
First responders found heavy smoke and fire from a single apartment in a two-story apartment building. Crews quickly contained the fire to the kitchen and were able to extinguish.
The two residents escaped with no injury and now displaced due to the damage.
