LOS ANGELES —Law enforcement authorities are investigating a member of the Kansas City Chiefs on felony charges after an arrest Sunday in Los Angeles.
Just before 9:30p.m. Sunday, police stopped a vehicle driven by 28-year-old Frank Clark for an alleged code violation, according to online LAPD records.
Officers observed an Uzi in a bag in the vehicle and arrested Clark on a requested charge of a concealed firearm in a vehicle violation. He spent the night in jail and bonded out Monday afternoon. His lawyer says the gun belonged to a bodyguard, according to the Associated Press.
The case will be presented to the LA County Prosecutor's Office.
Clark is in his seventh season as defensive end from the University of Michigan and 2021 is his third season in Kansas City, according to his bio on the team website.
