
KANSAS CITY—Law enforcement are investigating another homicide in Kansas City.
Just before 5p.m. Thursday, police were dispatched to report of a shooting at an apartment building in the 9400 block of Cleveland in Kansas City, Missouri, according to KCPD Captain Jake Becchina.
First responders found an adult male shooting victim unresponsive in the parking lot. Officers rendered aid until EMS arrived and took over. EMS transported the victim to the hospital where he was pronounced deceased from his injuries.
Homicide Detectives and Crime Scene investigators responded and began an investigation.
Preliminary information indicates that the victim and another person were inside an apartment at the location here when they became involved in an argument. That argument transitioned to the parking lot where additional people arrived and joined in. The argument escalated to gunfire which struck the victim. The suspect(s) then left the scene in an unknown direction.
