MORGAN COUNTY —A Missouri teen died in an accident just before 8p.m. Friday in Morgan County.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported a 2003 Honda Civic driven by a 16-year-old boy from Florence was northbound on MO 135 just north of Butterfield Cutoff.
The car crossed the centerline and struck an southbound 2020 Ford F350 driven by Dennis L. Mefford, 46, Versailles.
The teen was pronounced dead at the scene. Mid Missouri ambulance transported Mefford to Capital Region Medical Center. Mefford was not wearing a seat belt, according to the MSHP.
