Sheriff: Kan. woman had suspended license, was transporting drugs

JACKSON COUNTY —Law enforcement authorities are investigating a Kansas woman on drug charges after a traffic stop.

Just after 8a.m. Friday, a sheriff’s Deputy conducted a traffic stop  on 118th Road west of US Highway 75, according to Sheriff Tim Morse.

After identifying that the driver’s license was suspended. The deputy arrested the driver, Nicole Lynn Thompson, 30, of Holton.

She is being held in the Jackson County Jail on requested charges of possession of methamphetamine, possession of a hallucinogenic drug, possession of drug paraphernalia and driving while suspended.
