SEDGWICK COUNTY –Law enforcement authorities are investigating the death of 34-year-old Nicholas Hardcastle of Wichita, stemming from a shooting investigation, according to Officer Kris Gupilan.
Just after 1a.m. Thursday, officers were dispatched to a shooting in the 200 block of S. Minnesota in Wichita. The initial investigation revealed that there was a verbal argument, which led to a physical altercation.
During that altercation, Hardcastle was shot, according to Gupilan.
Hardcastle was transported to an area hospital where he was pronounced deceased. The two people involved in this incident were known to each other. Police are not looking for another suspect and will present the case to the Sedgwick County District Attorney's office.
