TANEY COUNTY—One person died in an accident just after 1p.m. Sunday in Taney County.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported a 2008 Honda GL8 driven by Steven L. Scott, 62, San Miguel De Allende, Mexico, was westbound on Highway 125 one mile south of Protem.
The driver failed to negotiate a curve. The vehicle traveled off the right side of the road and struck a tree. Scott was pronounced dead at the scene and was transported to Snapp Bearden Funeral Home.
