DALLAS COUNTY —One person died in an accident just after noon Thursday in Dallas County.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported a 2022 Jeep Grand Cherokee driven by Samir P. Yassin, 20, Buffalo, Missouri, was eastbound on Hays Road three miles east of Buffalo.
The vehicle crossed the center line and struck a westbound 2018 Kia Stinger driven by Linsey F. Swartzentruber, 20, Buffalo, head-on.
EMS transported a passenger in the Jeep identified as Jeremiah A. White, 19, Elkland, to Cox South Hospital where he was pronounced dead. EMS transported Yassin, Swartzentruber and a 1-year-old boy from Buffalo to Mercy Hospital in Springfield. White was not wearing a seat belt, according to the MSHP.
