KANSAS CITY —A juvenile was injured in an accident just after 9:30p.m. Thursday in Kansas City.
The juvenile was walking in the construction zone next to the #2 lane of southbound Interstate 29, according to Officer Corey Lisle.
Just past the bridge that crosses over NW 72nd Street, a southbound semi truck, struck the juvenile.
The semi-truck failed to stop and left the scene and continues southbound. EMS transported the juvenile to a local hospital in critical condition. Police have released no additional details as they continue to investigate.
