WYANDOTTE COUNTY —Law enforcement investigating a fatal accident that occurred just after midnight November 14 in Wyandotte County have released the name of the victim as 32-year-old Antonio Rutiaga-Leyva, according to Kansas City, Kansas Police.
A vehicle was northbound in the 300 Block of North James Street at a high rate of speed. The driver lost control at a curve and continued over the bridge.
EMS transported one occupant to a local hospital for treatment of serious injuries. The second occupant, identified as Rutiaga-Leyva, was pronounced dead at the scene. Police did not release information on who was driving or other details as they continue to investigate.
