POLK COUNTY—One person died in an accident just after 3p.m. Monday in Polk County.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported a 2008 GMC Sierra driven by a 44-year-old Springfield man was backing a vehicle to unload a trailer on private property on South County Road 138 four miles south of Bolivar.The driver did not see a 44-year-old Morrisville man behind him. The trailer struck the pedestrian.
The victim was transported to Citizens Memorial in Bolivar where he was pronounced deceased. The MSHP no longer releases names of accident victims.
