CLAY COUNTY —One person died in an accident just after 5p.m. Friday in Clay County.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported a 2006 Chevy Silverado driven by a 23-year-old Orrick, Missouri man was eastbound on MO 210 just west of State Route EE. The pickup rear-ended a 2014 Ford Fusion driven by a 27-year-old Excelsior Springs man. The impact pushed the Ford into the westbound lane. A westbound 2022 Ford Bronco driven by a 76-year-old Orrick woman struck the car.
EMS transported all three drivers to Liberty Hospital where the driver of the Ford Fusion was pronounced deceased. He was not wearing a seat belt, according to the MSHP. The Patrol has not released the names of the drivers.
