Homicide: Victim found in car of Kansas City gas station

The victim was identified as Watkins, Tarvious D, B/M 04/28/2005.

KANSAS CITY —Law enforcement investigating another homicide in Kansas City have identified the victim as 20-year-old Tarvious D. Watkins, according to KCPD Officer Alayna Gonzalez.

Just before 10a.m. Friday police were dispatched to a shooting at a gas station near the intersection of 55th and Prospect in Kansas City, Missouri, according to Gonzalez.

Upon arrival officers located a vehicle, parked in the parking lot with an adult male victim,  latter identified as Watkins inside suffering from apparent gunshot trauma and unresponsive. KCFD medical personnel responded to the scene and pronounced him deceased at that time.

Police do not have any preliminary information available to indicate what took place prior to shots being fired. Officers and detectives are working together to identifying a possible person of interest. The suspect is believed to be an adult male.
