
KANSAS CITY —Three Kansas City Missouri Firefighters were transported with minor injuries after crews responded to a reported house fire in the 3800 block of N. Briarcliff Road.
Just before 5:30p.m. crews reported smoke and fire from single story home, according to KCFD Battalion Chief Michael Hopkins.

Interior operations were initiated using multiple handlines. Searches of the structure were conducted and came back all clear. Just before 6p.m., the incident commander evacuated the structure and started defensive operations.
The fire was brought under control at 6:08 pm.
Redcross was ordered for one adult and one child. Dangerous Buildings and City Planning were also requested. KCPD Bomb and Arson were on the scene and leading the investigation inmto the cause of the fire. Battalion Chief Riley Nolan was also on the scene.
