
KANSAS CITY —A Kansas City man faces charges in connection with a stabbing that left one person injured over the weekend.
Lionel B. Miller, 46, faces 1st Degree Assault and Armed Criminal Action, according to the Jackson County prosecutor's office.
According to court records, Kansas City police were dispatched to an address on April 11 and located the defendant on scene out front with a wound to his lower abdomen. They also located a victim who had been stabbed in his arm. Both were transported to a local hospital for treatment.
Based on witness statements, the defendant allegedly attacked the victim unprovoked with a knife after using methamphetamine.
The precise nature of defendant’s wound, which was reported to have been inflicted from an incident after the assault of the victim, is still under investigation. Miller remains jailed without bond.
