A 36-year-old St. Joseph man has died from wounds suffered in a Sunday shooting.
The St. Joseph Police Department reports it is investigating the shooting as a targeted homicide.
St. Joseph police officers responded to an emergency call about shots being fired near North 20th and Jules Street shortly after noon Sunday. An officer discovered a man inside a vehicle suffering from a gunshot wound. The victim was rushed to the hospital for emergency treatment, but died later. The victim’s name has not been released.
No suspect is in custody. Anyone with information on the shooting is urged to contact the St. Joseph Police Department.
The investigation continues.
