
KANSAS CITY—Thanks to community involvement, police identified and have taken into custody a suspect wanted for allegedly using an elderly victim’s stolen debit card just after 1p.m. on February 17 at Express Stop, 8501 Winner Road in Kansas City, according to KCPD Officer Alayna Gonzalez.
The suspect pushed the elderly victim to the ground and stole her purse while she was putting flowers on her husband’s headstone in Independence. Minutes later the suspect used the victim’s stolen debit card.
Police thanked the public for their help as they continue their investigation. Police did not release the suspect's name of possible charges.
