VERNON COUNTY —One person died in an accident just after 1:30p.m. Monday in Vernon County.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported a 2009 Nissan Altima driven by an 18-year-old Schell City man was southbound on Highway C five miles north of Walker.
The car crossed the center line and struck a 2017 Mazda 6 driven by a 30-year-old Schell City man. The teen driver was not wearing a seat belt and was pronounced dead at the scene. EMS transported the other driver to Nevada Regional Medical Center. The MSHP no longer releases names of accident victims.
