WILLARD, Mo. (AP) — Police are investigating the deaths of a man and woman in southwest Missouri as a double homicide.
Alex Chute, 28, and Brianna Sproul, 30, were found shot to death on the front porch of a home in Willard on Saturday.
Willard Police Chief Tom McClain said Monday that investigators do not believe the deaths were a murder-suicide.
No arrests have been made but McClain said he was encouraged by progress detectives have made in the investigation, The Springfield News-Leader reported.
No other details have been released.
Willard is about 12 miles northwest of Springfield.
