COLUMBIA, Mo. (AP) — A second 16-year-old suspect is in custody in connection with the shooting death of a teenager in Columbia, police said.
The suspect was detained on Thursday for his alleged role in the death of 15-year-old Battle High School student Aubry Doxley on Saturday in northeast Columbia.
Another 16-year-old was detained on Tuesday. They face possible charges of first-degree murder, assault and armed criminal action, police said.
Police said Doxley was inside her home about 12:40 a.m. Saturday when she was hit by gunfire from outside the house.
A juvenile male and an adult male also were injured.
