
SALINE COUNTY —Law enforcement are investigating a suspect on multiple allegations
Just before 8p.m. April 9, an officer observed a man on a moped in the area of 8th and Mulberry in Salina commit a traffic infraction, according to Salina Police Captain James Feldman.
The officer attempted to conduct a traffic stop when the driver failed to stop. The suspect turned onto Walnut to Santa Fe. When the driver attempted to turn onto Santa Fe, he lost control of the moped. The vehicle tipped over in the intersection the driver ran ran to the 100 block of S. Santa Fe, then he ran towards 5th Street where he stopped.
Police took the driver, later identified as identified as 23-year-old Colten A. Miller of Salina, into custody without further incident.
Miller had minor injuries due to the crash and was treated. He was booked into the Saline County Jail in reference to 2 Probation Violation warrants and on requested charges of Fleeing and Elude, Interference with LEO.
Miller was also charged with two previous cases, an aggravated battery where he placed a known associate into a choke hold in March of 2026 during an altercation, and Criminal Use of a Financial card and Computer Crime, for accessing a known associates Chime Card and sending himself approximately $200 in February.
