BARRY COUNTY—One person died in an accident just after 6p.m. Wednesday in Barry County.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported a 2002 Ford Ranger driven by 44-year-old man from Monnett was northbound on MO 37 just south of Route Be in Purdy.
The pickup crossed the center line and struck a southbound 2014 Chevy Silverado head-on.
The driver of the Ford was pronounced dead at the scene and was transported to Fohn Funeral Home. EMS transported the 65-year-old male driver of the Chevy to Cox South in Springfield. The drivers were not wearing seat belts, according to the MSHP.
