BENTON COUNTY —One person died in an accident just before 8p.m. Saturday in Benton County.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported a 2005 Ford F250 driven by Craig A. Ralston, 52, Matteson, Illinois was southbound on MO 7 at the west dam access road.
The pickup traveled off the right side of the road and the driver overcorrected. This caused the pickup to roll off the left side of the road.
A passenger Water R. Spooner, 64, Warsaw, Missouri, was pronounced dead at the scene and was released to Reser Funeral Home. Lincoln EMS transported Matteson to Golden Valley Memorial Hospital. Both were properly restrained, according to the MSHP.
