NEOSHO COUNTY—One person died in an accident just after 6a.m. Monday in Neosho County.
The Kansas Highway Patrol reported a 2019 Dodge Durango driven by Teresa Marie Phillips, 47, Chanute, was northbound on Kansas 39 Highway fifteen miles east of Chanute. The SUV and a southbound 2021 Chevy Silverado driven by Thaddaeus Jack Jetmore, 38, Deerfield, Missouri, collided head-on at the center line.
Phillips was pronounced dead at the scene and was transported to Forensic Medical in Kansas City. EMS transported Jetmore to KU Medical Center. Phillips was not wearing a seat belt, according to the KHP.
