LACLEDE COUNTY —One person died in an accident just after 10:30p.m. Friday in Laclede County.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported a 2007 Chevy Trailblazer driven by Travis G. Nelson, 38, Lebanon, was westbound on Highway 32 five miles west of Lebanon.
The driver lost control of the vehicle. It traveled off the road, struck a culvert and overturned.
Nelson was pronounced dead at the scene. A passenger Susan M. Nelson, 38, Lebanon, was also seriously injured but not transported for treatment, according to the report from the MSHP.
Travis Nelson was not wearing a seat belt, according to the MSHP. The agency did not have information on Susan Nelson's seat belt usage.
