BENTON COUNTY—One person drowned just before 8:30a.m. Saturday at Truman Lake.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported a 36-year-old Sedalia man was swimming at the Shawnee Bend swim beach. He went under and did not resurface. The Water Patrol recovered him at the same location and he was pronounced deceased. The Patrol no longer releases names of drowning incidents.
