NEWTON COUNTY—One person died in an accident just after 7p.m. Monday in Newton County.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported a Chrysler 300 driven by Nathanial M. McCamish, 19, was westbound on U.S. 60 at the west city limits of Granby.

The driver was passing a semi on a hill.&nbsp; An eastbound Peterbild semi driven by Brian L. Sherman, 55, Nevada, Mo., came over the hillcrest and struck the Chrysler head-on.&nbsp;

A passenger in the Chrysler identified as Shawn McCamish was pronounced dead at the scene.&nbsp; The KHP did not report his age.&nbsp; &nbsp;EMS transported Nathanial McCamish to Mercy Springfield. Sherman was not injured.&nbsp; The MSHP had incomplete seat belt usage details.
