
KANSAS CITY —Law enforcement are investigating another homicide in Kansas City, Missouri.
Just after 4:30pm Thursday were dispatched to a reported shooting at an apartment building in the 1200 block of Askew in Kansas City, according to KCPD Captain Jake Becchina.
Officers were led into an apartment inside the building. There they located a shooting victim unresponsive. Officers called for EMS into the scene who declared the man deceased.
Preliminary investigation indicates that a caller responded to the apartment and observed the victim injured and unresponsive inside. The caller then called 911 for police and ambulance. There are not any suspects in custody at this time. If anyone was in the area around the building and heard or saw anything or has any information, they are asked to contact Homicide detectives directly at 816-234-5043 or the TIPS Hotline anonymously at 816-474-TIPS. There is a reward of up to $25,000 for information submitted anonymously to the TIPS hotline.
