
SALINE COUNTY —The Salina South Middle School teacher who admitted furnishing alcohol and THC products to underage students learned her fate on Wednesday.
A Saline County Judge sentenced 48-year-old Amanda Freeman to eleven months in the custody of the state department of corrections and 12 month of post release supervision for the felony. She was also sentenced to six months in the Saline County Jail to be served consecutively. The jail time was suspended while she completes 12 months of community supervision, according to court records.
In August, Freeman pleaded guilty to Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, a felony, and furnishing alcoholic beverages to underage students, a misdemeanor, according to court records.
The Salina Police Department stated that a parent of a 16-year-old boy reported suspicious text messaging between the teen and Freeman back in September 2025. Police conducted an investigation with the cooperation of USD 305 and determined Freeman, had furnished the juvenile, and possibly other juveniles, with alcohol and THC products. Police arrested her in September of 2025.
