KANSAS CITY —Law enforcement are investigating another homicide in Kansas City have identified the latest victim as 21-year-old Tracy Williams, according to KCPD Sergeant Phil DiMartino.
Just before 7:30p.m. Wednesday, patrol officers were dispatched to a shooting in the 3700 block of St. John, according to Sheriff Daryl Forte.
First responders were directed to the parking lot of a convenience store at the corner of St. John and Monroe. They found Williams suffering from gunshot wounds. They immediately began performing life saving measures and summoned emergency medical personnel to the scene. EMS pronounced Williams deceased on scene.
This is being investigated as a homicide. Preliminary investigation revealed an interaction between individuals in the parking lot of the store just before the victim was shot. Detectives are reviewing surveillance footage and canvassing the area for witnesses. Crime scene personnel are processing the scene for any available physical evidence.
