MILLER COUNTY —One person died in an accident just after 10p.m. Friday in Miller County.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported a 2019 Ford Flex driven by a 41-year-old Eldon man was eastbound on U.S. 54 just east of Lakeland.
The SUV rear-ended a 1995 Mercury Cougar driven by a 16-year-old Versailles boy. The car's left front and rear tires were in the lane of travel at the time of the crash.
The teen was pronounced dead at the scene and was transported to Kidwell Garber Funeral Home. The SUV driver was not injured. The drivers were not wearing seat belts, according to the MSHP. The Patrol no longer releases names of accident victims.
