KANSAS CITY —Law enforcement authorities have identified the driver who died in an accident just after 6a.m. Wednesday in Kansas City, Missouri.

 According to KCPD Captain Jake Becchina, a semi driven by 38-year-old Isaac E. Alston was northbound on Interstate 435 from Eastwood Trafficway.&nbsp; Alston was weaving between two lanes of traffic and drove directly into a concrete overhead sign support pole.&nbsp; He was pronounced deceased at the scene. 

This marks fatality #39 compared to #42 at the same time in 2025, according to Becchina. The accident remains under investigation.
