JOHNSON COUNTY, Mo.—One person died in an accident just before 5:30p.m. Wednesday in Johnson County.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported a 2013 Chevy Equinox driven by Lee G. Thomas, 48, Knob Noster, was southbound at 1256 NE 75 Road.
The SUV traveled off the left side of the road, struck two fences and a tree.
Thomas was pronounced dead at the scene and was transported to Sweeney, Phillips Holdren Funeral Home. He was not wearing a seat belt, according to the MSHP.
