Kansas Attorney General Kris Kobach has launched the Safe and Secure Firearm Detection Program for public schools in the state.
The program, funded by a $10 million grant, allows schools to partner with ZeroEyes for AI gun detection technology. If a gun is detected, images are sent to the ZeroEyes Operations Center for immediate action. Experts dispatch alerts and intelligence to law enforcement within three to five seconds of detection.
Schools can apply for grants on a first-come, first-served basis to enhance their security measures. Funding has been allocated equally among Kansas's four congressional districts.
