BOONE COUNTY —One person was injured in a violent crash that occurred just before 12:30p.m. Wednesday in Boone County.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported a 2023 Kenworth semi driven by a 45-year-old from Tennessee was westbound on Interstate 70 at the Route O Huntsdale, Harrisburg exit.
The Kenworth struck the right side of a 2020 Freightliner semi driven by a 62-year-old Union, Missouri man. After impact the Kenworth traveled off the road and collided with a ditch and trees.
EMS transported the 45-year-old driver to University Hospital. The Patrol no longer releases names of accident victims.

EMS transported the driver to University Hospital with minor injuries.
The patrol advised drivers to be careful when traveling the area as workers cleanup. The patrol released no additional details.
