WICHITA, Kan.— Boeing [NYSE: BA] and Wichita State University Campus of Applied Sciences and Technology (WSU Tech) today announced the Boeing Workforce Training Center, a new facility to develop and sustain a highly-skilled aerospace workforce in Wichita through classroom instruction and hands-on training in a production environment.
WSU Tech will lead training delivery and instructional support, while Boeing provides input on curriculum design and equipment to align with real-world production. This forward-thinking collaboration supports Boeing’s commitment to manufacturing excellence and a strong local team to meet global demand. The company has an order backlog of more than 6,100 airplanes, and Boeing Wichita builds major structures for every Boeing commercial airplane.

Located near WSU Tech’s South Campus at East Harry Street and South Oliver Avenue in Wichita, the approximately 35,000-square-foot center will feature classrooms, specialized training labs, and employee testing and assessment areas. It will serve as a centralized training hub for Boeing Wichita’s workforce, with the capacity to support thousands of trainees annually. The facility consolidates existing Boeing training operations into a modern, flexible environment designed to scale with workforce needs and support long-term growth.

The center is expected to be operational by the end of 2026, with an initial program milestone planned for spring 2027 to assess training tracks, space utilization and future expansion opportunities.
