CASS COUNTY —Law enforcement authorities are investigating a suspect on multiple allegations after a chase and crash.

Just after 4:30p.m. Monday, deputies with the Cass County Sheriff's Office attempted to stop a vehicle traveling southbound on 7 Highway near Creighton, according to a media release.

The vehicle failed to stop and a pursuit ensued. The driver, later identified as 45-year-old Jacob J. Rullman, continued throughout the county until a tire deflation device was used near the area of 2 Highway and Kauffman.

Rullman lost control of the vehicle and crashed into a nearby field. As deputies were taking him into custody, they overheard the sounds of a small child from the backseat.

Deputies were able to quickly extract the child from the vehicle. Deputies transported Rullman to an undisclosed hospital for evaluation. The child, who stated she was unharmed, was checked by EMS on scene and safely returned to her mother upon her arrival.

Jacob J Rullman was arrested on a requested charge of a Parole Violation warrant, and is currently pending additional charges from the Cass County Sheriff's Office.
