WABAUNSEE COUNTY —Law enforcement are investigating an alleged attempted homicide, and suicide in the 600 block of Main Street in McFarland, according to the Wabaunsee County Sheriff.
Authorities have asked for assistance from the Kansas Bureau of Investigation and the Kansas Highway Patrol.
The sheriff's office reported, "this is a profound tragedy, we kindly request prayers and patience please."
The sheriff's office has not released the names of those involved. McFarland is located just off Interstate 70 at exit 330.
