DALLAS COUNTY— One person died in an accident just before 12:30p.m. Thursday in Dallas County.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported a 2014 Dodge Ram driven by Arlin V. Crump, 73, Buffalo, was northbound on Highway 65 two miles south of Buffalo.
The pickup struck a pedestrian identified as Jody L. Ray, 50, Buffalo, who attempted to cross the northbound lanes of the highway. She was pronounced dead at at the scene and was transported to Cantlon Otterness Funeral Home.
Crump was not injured and properly restrained at the time of the accident. He was also tested for alcohol as required by law, according to the MSHP.
