LACLEDE COUNTY— One person died in an accident just before 12:30p.m. Saturday in Laclede County.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported a 2006 Chevy Cobalt driven by a Eva D. Grantham, 17, Lebanon, was northbound on Rockwell Drive just north of Evanston Drive.
The vehicle traveled off the road, overturned and struck a tree.
A 16-year-old male passenger was pronounced dead at the scene. Lake Regional Air ambulance transported Grantham to Mercy Hospital in Springfield. Mercy Air ambulance transported a 16-year-old female passenger to Mercy Hospital in Springfield. A private vehicle transported a 15-year-old male passenger to Mercy Hospital in Lebanon.
Authorities did not release names of the juvenile passengers. All four were properly restrained at the time of the accident, according to the MSHP.
