Chance of rain tonight through Sunday

Rain moves in late tonight and sticks around until early Sunday morning. Around one inch of rain is expected across the area when all is said and done. Isolated storms are possible Saturday afternoon/evening across the area, with a few strong to severe storms possible in central MO. The main concern right now is wind gusts up to 60 mph. Next week looks quiet with slightly above normal temperatures. Here’s the 7-day forecast from the National Weather Service:

Today: Increasing clouds, with a high near 45. Calm wind becoming east 5 to 7 mph in the afternoon.

Tonight: Rain, mainly after 4 a.m. Low around 38. East southeast wind 7 to 13 mph. Chance of precipitation is 80%. New precipitation amounts of less than a tenth of an inch possible.

Saturday: Rain, with thunderstorms also possible after noon. High near 60. South southeast wind 13 to 16 mph, with gusts as high as 22 mph. Chance of precipitation is 100%. New rainfall amounts between a half and three quarters of an inch possible.

Saturday Night: Rain before midnight. Low around 36. South wind 6 to 9 mph becoming west after midnight. Winds could gust as high as 20 mph. Chance of precipitation is 80%. New precipitation amounts between a quarter and half of an inch possible.

Sunday: A slight chance of rain after noon. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 42. West wind 8 to 10 mph, with gusts as high as 22 mph. Chance of precipitation is 20%.

Sunday Night: Mostly cloudy, with a low around 27.

Monday: Mostly cloudy, with a high near 37.

Monday Night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 24.

Tuesday: Sunny, with a high near 42.
