A Cold Frontal Boundary will linger across the region today making it seem like two different seasons, winter up north and spring over central Missouri. Rain and thunderstorm changes return to the area Friday night into Saturday evening. The best chances for heavy rain and thunder will be Saturday afternoon. Today: Patchy fog before noon. Otherwise, mostly cloudy, then gradually becoming sunny, with a high near 42. Northwest wind 7 to 9 mph.
Tonight: Mostly clear, with a low around 26. Northwest wind around 6 mph becoming calm after midnight.
Friday: A slight chance of rain after noon. Increasing clouds, with a high near 41. Calm wind becoming east 5 to 7 mph in the morning. Chance of precipitation is 20%.
Friday Night: Rain. Temperature rising to around 47 by 5 a.m. East southeast wind 3 to 8 mph. Winds could gust as high as 21 mph. Chance of precipitation is 80%. New precipitation amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch possible.
Saturday: Rain and possibly a thunderstorm. High near 61. South wind 5 to 9 mph, with gusts as high as 30 mph. Chance of precipitation is 90%. New rainfall amounts between three quarters and one inch possible.
