LAFAYETTE COUNTY—One person died in an accident just after 11p.m. Monday in Lafayette County.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported a 2018 Freightliner semi driven by Linda K. Griego, 55, Las Vegas, was eastbound on Interstate 70 just before the Lexington-Mayview exit.
The semi struck a pedestrian identified as Joshua A. Moore, 27, Kansas City, who ran into the eastbound lanes.
Moore was pronounced dead at the scene and was transported to Hoeffer’s Funeral Home in Higginsville. Greigo was not injured.
