Child hospitalized, 2 Kan. women jailed after car crash

SHAWNEE COUNTY —Law enforcement are investigating a two vehicle crash accident and that sent a child to the hospital and have made two arrests.

Just after 5p.m. Tuesday, police responded to reports of an injury accident at the intersection of SE 37th Street and SE Adams Street in Topeka, according to a media release.

Officers found a crash involving two vehicles. American Medical response transported one juvenile passenger to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

As a result of the investigation, Asiana C. Chambers-Moore, 22, Topeka, was transported to the Shawnee County Department of Corrections on requested charges of Aggravated endangering a child; Reckless situation to child <18, Aggravated battery; DUI causing great bodily harm/disfigurement, Reckless Driving; Unknown Conviction, Drive in center lane of 2 way traffic when there are 3 lanes and Children To Be Restrained Under 4 Years. She remains in custody.
