DUNKLIN COUNTY —Three people died in an accident just after 5:30p.m. Tuesday in Dunklin County.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported a 2012 Nissan Murano driven by a 58-year-old Caruthersville, man was southbound on MO 25 two miles north of Kennett.
The driver was passing a southbound 2005 Toyota Sienna driven by a 58-year-old Campbell woman. The Nissan struck a northbound 2006 Dodge Caravan driven by a 77-year-old Paragould, Arkansas, woman head-on.
The drivers of the Nissan and the Dodge and 27-year-old passenger in the Dodge were pronounced dead at the scene. Survival Flight transported a 21-year-old passenger in the Dodge and a 50-year-old passenger in the Nissan to Region One Health in Memphis. The 27-year-old passenger in the Nissan was not wearing a seat belt, according to the MSHP. The Patrol no longer releases names of accident victims.
