SHAWNEE COUNTY —Police investigating a deadly gunfight in Topeka have idenfied the victim as Thomas J. Brown, 30, of Topeka, according to Topeka Police LT. Kerry Connell.
Just after 12:30a.m. Saturday, police responded to reports of a shooting in the 2300 block of SE Bellview Avenue in Topeka. First responders a victim later identified as Brown who was pronounced deceased at the scene.
A second subject was transported to a local area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. Police have not released details on what led up to the shooting or reported an arrest.
