CEDAR COUNTY —A Missouri man drowned just after 4p.m. Monday at Stockton Lake.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported a 25-year-old Willard man attempted to swim across the cove from Master's Cove Swim beach at the lake, Witnessess reported they could no longer see him. The man was located by sonar and recovered approximately 73 feet from the shore.
He was pronounced dead at the scene and transported to Craig-Hurtt Funeral Home in Mountan Grove. The MSHP no longer releases names of accident victims.
