The Missouri State Highway Patrol has announced the promotion of Sgt. Brandon M. Parker to the rank of lieutenant, effective Jan. 16. Along with his promotion, Parker will transfer from the Division of Drug and Crime Control to the Training Division at General Headquarters in Jefferson City.
Parker joined the Missouri State Highway Patrol in February 2010 as a member of the 91st Recruit Class. Following his graduation from the Law Enforcement Academy, his initial assignment was to Troop A, where he served Henry County.
In 2015, Parker was promoted to corporal and transferred from Henry County to Saline County, where he served as the assistant supervisor for Zone 10. He transitioned to the Division of Drug and Crime Control as a criminal investigator in 2018.
By November 2022, Parker was designated as the supervisor of the DDCC Troop A Criminal Investigation Unit. He was promoted to the rank of sergeant in January 2023.
A native of Harrison, Arkansas, Parker is a graduate of Spirit Lake High School in Spirit Lake, Iowa. He holds an associate degree from Ozarks Technical Community College and a Bachelor of Science in criminology and sociology from Missouri State University. Parker and his wife, Kaitlyn, have one son.
