Fast growing salmonella outbreak under investigation

KANSAS CITY—The CDC is investigating a fast growing salmonella outbreak involving residents in Kansas and 28 other states. The CDC says a specific food item has not yet been identified as the source of the outbreak. The CDC reported 279 individuals sick and 26 hospitalizations.

If you have symptoms of a Salmonella infection, talk to your healthcare provider and report your illness to your health department to help investigators solve this outbreak.
